Year In Review 2008
So, what did the ND Class of 1976 do in 2008?- Jack Swarbrick became Athletic Director and Jim Ryan held a gathering to honor Jack in his new position - Ceyl Prinster became the President of the Alumni Association Board. - Frank Fransioli updated our Irish Online web page and added the ability for classmates to post messages ...which I sincerely hope that you will do! - We held our first "virtual" class mass on Sunday, August 17 - We held our third mini-reunion on October 4th for the Stanford weekend. Through the purchase of reunion packages and several generous donations, the class treasury stood at $7005. And, don't forget, you can earmark part of your annual donation for the class by indicating it on your form and check. Should you decide to do so, please just let me know so I can ensure your donation is credited to the class account (I only need your name :-)))) ( Wish you were there? You can see the Pictures here. ) - Following the reconciliation of the treasury, a decision was made to help Jim Culveyhouse fight ALS through a donation of $250. More information on Jim's battle with and against ALS is available at http://www.jimculveyhouse.com/ - Pat Gleason developed the first pass of a class pictorial video and is still looking forward to receiving photos or scans of memorabilia at pdgleason@adelphia.net - Jim Hummer offered to jumpstart a class scholarship fund with $10,000 if four other classmates match his offer. The balance to achieve the required $100K could then be met by the rest of our class. I would love for someone to come forward to drive this effort.
